Outdoor Bouldering Crash Course.
Our Outdoor Bouldering Crash Course is designed to help you transition from indoor to outdoor bouldering. We cover every aspect from reading a guide book to reading the rock, placing pads to topping out and everything in between.
The course is held at North Burleigh Headland where, if at night, we light up the cliff to create a spectacular climbing experience. By the end of the course you will have the skills and confidence to head out on your own and get your hands on real rock.
To kickstart your outdoor bouldering we’ve included 1 x FREE day Boulder Pad Hire included in the crash course (to be used at a later date).
Over the 2 hr Crash Course we will cover:
Spotting – Falling – Reading a Guidebook – Route Finding – Cleaning a Route – Placing Pads – Top Outs – Skin Care – Crag Ethics – And heaps more!

Who: Designed for indoor climbers wanting to get their hands on some real rock.

Outdoor Upskill Workshop
Join us at Mt Ngungun in the stunning Glasshouse Mountains for a full day of outdoor upskilling! Our Outdoor Upskill Day is perfect for climbers wanting to transition outdoors or add to their current skills under PACI-qualified instruction.
The day is split into two workshops:
Lead Climbing Anchors Workshop
Calling all lead climbers! Learn efficient, safe anchor-cleaning techniques, covering all essential skills to handle outdoor anchors with confidence. This is perfect for gym climbers transitioning into the outdoors. Includes a 2-hour prep session in the gym a week before for those who can make it.
Abseiling Workshop
Dive into various abseiling methods, using different devices and prusiks for backup. No experience required.

Passchendaele Bouldering Trip (Next Trip Dates TBA).
A short drive away in the Granit Belt lies a bouldering wonderland. With classic problems from V0-V12, let Active Adventures Australia handle the logistics and catering so all you have to think about is climbing.
We’ll be staying in an exclusive section of campsite only minutes away from all the boulders. If you’re familiar with our previous trips, we have changed our group campsite to the other side of the lake so we now have much closer access to amenities and wifi available.
